* Top Photo – An after photo from a rain gardens we created for one of our clients.   This native landscape was part of a Stormwater Cost Share Reimbursement Program application that we helped our client with.  Thanks to this great program, our client was reimbursed 50% of the total cost for materials and labor!  We look forward to seeing all of these native plants grow and provide habitat for birds, butterflies, pollinators, and other wildlife for years to come.  (October, 2018)

* Photo – A Monarch caterpillar munching on a Poke Milkweed plant that we had started from seed in the Spring of 2016.  We planted four of these young Poke Milkweeds in a new landscape space we created along the east side of our house in July.  After about two weeks, we noticed that one of the small plants was stripped completely of its leaves and another had only two leaves remaining.  Carefully we looked at the third and fourth plant, turning each leaf over, and found the culprit… this guy.  We decided to move him to a larger Common Milkweed plant growing in another place in our yard, so he’d have enough food, and to save some leaves for these baby plants.  He gladly took to his new diet and we enjoyed watching him continue to eat and grow, transform into a chrysalis, and emerge as an adult.  We experienced a great sense of pride knowing that our efforts had provided this Monarch with the food he needed.  If you plant it… they will come!!!  (August, 2016)
